Roar: Cloudstaff YEAR-END Party

I. Details of the Event

On December 6, 2025, I attended the Cloudstaff Year-End Party, which was held at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan. Tickets for the event were distributed earlier on November 27, 2025, at the ground floor of Gordon College. The program was scheduled from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, although the main performances officially started at around 5:00 PM.

Unlike the usual seminars and academic activities, this event was designed as a large-scale celebration similar to a concert. It featured well-known performers such as the Philharmonica Orchestra, the OPM band Spongecola, and the P-pop group BINI. The event served as Cloudstaff’s way of showing appreciation to its employees and partners through entertainment, prizes, and a well-produced program.

II. Reflection on the Webinar or Activity (Learnings Gained)

The Cloudstaff Year-End Party was very different from the seminars we normally attend, but it still offered valuable lessons, especially in terms of workplace culture and professionalism. Seeing the event held at the Philippine Arena made me realize how strong and well-established the company is. I was particularly impressed by the CEO’s presentation, where he confidently discussed the company’s future plans and shared that Cloudstaff had allocated a 120-million-peso budget for employee programs and bonuses. As a fourth-year IT student, this level of transparency and commitment made me see Cloudstaff as a stable and employee-centered company.

The performances also offered unexpected lessons beyond entertainment. The Philharmonica Orchestra created a lively atmosphere, but Spongecola’s performance stood out the most for me. Watching Yael Yuzon confidently manage a massive crowd with ease, humor, and strong stage presence was impressive. It reminded me that soft skills such as communication, confidence, and professionalism are just as important as technical skills, especially in leadership roles and technical presentations.

Overall, the event showed how work-life balance is practiced in the IT and outsourcing industry. The company did not simply host a concert, but also showed genuine appreciation through high-value raffle prizes such as gadgets, a motorcycle, and even a car. Experiencing this made me reflect on the kind of company culture I want to be part of in the future, where employees feel valued and motivated beyond their daily tasks.

III. Reflections on Possibilities of Implementing Some of the Seminar Input on a Practical Level (Practical Application of Learnings)

On a practical level, the biggest lesson I gained from this event is that choosing a career should not be based on salary alone. I realized that it is equally important to look for a company that values its employees and invests in their well-being. Seeing how Cloudstaff prioritizes its people made me understand that a supportive and people-first environment is essential for long-term career growth and stability.

The passion and professionalism shown by the performers, especially Yael Yuzon, also inspired me on a personal level. I want to bring the same level of dedication and energy into my future work in IT. Whether I am developing applications, testing systems, or presenting technical solutions, I want to approach each task with commitment and pride. This experience reminded me that professional growth is not just about finishing tasks, but about giving your best effort and maintaining a positive attitude toward your craft.

IV. Positive Feedback on the Event or Organization

The Cloudstaff Year-End Party was an amazing and well-organized event. From ticket distribution to the actual production at the Philippine Arena, everything was handled smoothly. The CEO’s transparent presentation and the company’s strong focus on employee appreciation made the event feel personal despite its massive scale.

The performances by the Philharmonica Orchestra, Spongecola, and BINI were well-curated and kept the audience engaged throughout the night. Overall, the event successfully combined celebration, appreciation, and inspiration, making it a memorable experience for everyone who attended.

V. Suggestions for Improvements to Be Made or Considered for Future Activities

While the event was already impressive, there are still a few areas that could be improved in future year-end celebrations. Adding interactive booths or activities before the main show would help make the long waiting time more enjoyable. Providing additional shuttle options could also help manage the heavy traffic going to and from Bulacan.

It would also be beneficial to include a small networking area where IT students and attendees could interact with company representatives and professionals. This would help bridge the gap between entertainment and career development, making the event both fun and professionally meaningful.
